The one2edit™ Translation Memory database stores plain text and does not store local styling. Therefore, you may need to apply local styling to your translated text.
The Pipette tool simplifies this process to a few clicks, and does not require the user to know exactly what styling that was used in the original text. The Source Text area of the Translation Panel allows users to access both the original text, and the original styling.
The Pipette Tool
- Select the text to be styled and click the Pipette button (you must select text to style, as all Pipette styles are applied locally).
- Click on the styled source text in the Translation Panel (local styling is marked with square brackets).
- The styling will be immediately applied to selected text.
- This same styling will then be pushed to the document, and the preview will be updated.
NOTE: This same process can be used with Segment Info > Revisions to apply styling from a previously-saved revision of the segment.
