It is possible to override any Frame Rules on a document-wide basis for a specific Workflow Step (i.e. Job).
NOTE: A user may only edit a frame if the frame contains content that the user may edit (i.e. image, text segment). Frames that contain no editable content cannot be edited during a Job.
Setting Frame Rules per Workflow Step
To override the current Frame Rules for a Job (including the default setting of not being able to edit any frames):
- Click on the kebab menu (3 dots) next to the workflow step name to open the menu for that step.
- Choose an option from the Frame Rules menu.
There are 3 options:
- Use Settings: This is the default setting. Users at this step are beholden to any Frame Rules set in the master document.
- Allow None: With this selected, users at this step cannot edit any frames. This command overrides any Frame Rules set in the master document.
- Allow All (that contain texts or images): With this selected, users at this step can edit any frame in this document that contains editable content. This command overrides any Frame Rules set in the master document.
NOTE: Permitting frame editing for a specific workflow step can be useful if, for example, a designer/copy-fitter is working at a specific step in the workflow, but no other workflow steps should be allowed to edit frames.
