In this section, you will upload your InDesign® document package to one2edit™
Select the Target Folder
Click on the folder in which you want to create the one2edit™ project
'File > Browse Asset Spaces'
Click on 'File > Browse Asset Spaces'.
This opens a window showing the contents of your one2edit™ asset space. It is to this asset space that you can upload documents and files.
The root folder name (on the left) contains your company name.
Create a Folder
You shall now create a new folder into which you can upload your InDesign document.
- Select the root folder on the left of the window.
- Click on the 'New Folder' icon, as shown.
Name the Folder
Give the new folder a name and click 'Save'.
Open the Folder
Double click on the folder in the right-hand pane to open it.
Upload the Document Package
Now click on the 'Upload' button. This will open a window allowing you to access your hard drive.
Browse to the folder where your InDesign® document .zip file was saved in step 6 above, select the file, and click 'Open' or 'OK'.
This will upload the document from your computer to your one2edit™ asset space.
Extract the Archive
- Click on the recently uploaded .zip file to select it.
- Click the 'Extract Zip' button.
This will extract the compressed document and associated links to a new sub-folder.
Open the New Folder
Double-click the new document folder in the right-hand pane to open it.
Check for the Links Folder
Ensure that there is a 'Links' folder in there too - if not, it was missing from your archive and you should re-create your InDesign® document package and archive.
Create Project from InDesign® Document
- Click on the InDesign document icon to select it.
- Click 'Create Project' in the bottom-right corner of the window.
Congratulations!
You have now created a one2edit™ project from your InDesign® document!
