Open 'Dictionaries' window
Click 'Settings > Dictionaries' to open the 'Dictionaries' window.
'Add default dictionaries'
Click 'New > Add default dictionaries'.
NOTE:
There can only be one dictionary per language. If any custom dictionaries exist that have the same language as a default InDesign dictionary, then that default InDesign dictionary cannot be installed.
Therefore, if you wish to install all of the default InDesign dictionaries, you will need to do one of the following:
- install the default dictionaries before you have created any custom dictionaries
- ensure that your custom dictionaries have different languages to the default InDesign dictionaries
- delete the relevant custom dictionaries before you add the default InDesign dictionaries
Default dictionaries appear
The InDesign dictionaries are now listed in the 'Dictionaries' window.

- Click 'Apply' or 'Save'.
NOTE:
