Why can't I lock version documents?

Version documents that are attached to a master document need to be locked before a master document can be edited.

If locking a version document does not work, this lesson helps you to find the reason for it and solve the problem.

Click 'Lock' symbol

Click the 'Lock' symbol in the upper right corner of your 'Master Document Editor' in order to lock all available version documents.

The red cross next to the version document indicates, that the version document cannot be accessed at the moment as it is opened by another user. Remember, a document can only be used from one user at a time.

Click 'Cancel' to return to your 'Master Document Editor'.
