Sometimes the text in the master document will contain local formatting (i.e. character styles, manual style overrides).
You can apply this local styling to your translated segment by using the pipette tool and the 'Source Text' section. In this way, one2edit™ ensures that formatting from the source text will only be applied to the relevant target segment.
'Source Text' contains local styling
Here we can see that the source text segment contains local formatting. This is indicated by the blue brackets in the text.
Specifically, there is one style applied to "orange fiz" and another applied to the final "z".
Select the text and click the 'Pipette' tool
- Select the text that you wish to format.
- Click the 'Pipette' tool.
Click on the 'Source Text' formatting to it apply to the selected text
Now that we have selected the pipette, we can click on the formatting in the 'Source Text' field that we wish to apply to the selected text.
In this case, we click between the brackets around "orange fiz".
NOTE:
The 'Pipette' button will be highlighted when the tool is active.
