There are four different ways to mark job items as 'Done' within one2edit™.
Option 1: via the 'Text Editor' window
When you have finished editing text, you can click on the little arrow next to the yellow icon at the bottom of the window to open a menu. Choose 'Done' to mark this text segment as complete.
You can also simply click the yellow icon itself to toggle it between green and yellow.
NOTE:
This option is only available when editing text. When editing an image, there is no 'Text Editor' window with which to work.
Option 3: via the Spread Thumbnails
If you wish to set the status of all items on a spread to 'Done', you can do so via the thumbnail bar at the bottom of the 'Job Editor' window.
Moving your mouse over the yellow marker on a spread displays a pop-up menu from which you can set all items on that spread to 'Done'.
Moving your mouse over the green marker on a spread (if there is one) displays a pop-up menu from which you can reset all items on that spread to 'New', i.e. yellow.
Option 4: via 'Document Structure Panel'
You can also use the 'Document Structure Panel' to change the status of multiple job items at once.
(1) Select Spreads/Layers/Frames
Spreads, layers and frames may contain multiple content items (text segments or images).
You can select one or more or these document elements (via shift-click) and click the green 'Accept' marker at the top of the panel to mark all job items within them as 'Done'.
Clicking the yellow 'New' marker in the same location will reset the status of any items within the selected document elements.
(2) Select Multiple Individual Items
Selecting multiple individual segments and/or images can be done by shift-clicking in the 'Document Structure Panel' or in the document preview itself.
The status of all of these items can then be changed using the markers at the top of the 'Document Structure Panel'.
Review and Close Document
(1) Thumbnail Bar
The thumbnail bar displays the number of items that have been marked as 'Done' (or not marked as 'Done') within each spread.
(2) Save Changes
Before you leave the 'Job Editor', you can use this button to save your changes.
(3) Exit Job Editor
The 'Close Document' button is used to close the document and leave the 'Job Editor'.
Save changes
If you clicked 'Close Document' without saving your changes, one2edit™ will remind you with the warning message shown above.
Click 'Save' to save your changes.
Commit items to next step
If you have marked items as 'Done' and you close the 'Job Editor', one2edit™ will ask you if you wish to commit these 'Done' items to the next workflow step.
Any items that are passed to the next workflow step are no longer accessible at this stage of the workflow, i.e., you will be unable to edit them again unless they are rejected back to you from a later workflow step.
Committing some items to the next workflow step can be advantageous, allowing the review of some edited items to take place before the entire translation/editing job has been completed. For example, it may be that the editor is in a different timezone to the reviewer, or has more work to do during the work-day than just this one editing job.
NOTE:
It is possible to have a workflow where all items must be marked as 'Done' before they can be passed to the next workflow step.
