Set the default filenames given to downloaded and exported files.
Default Filenames
- Download Filename: Any file that is downloaded or exported via a menu action (i.e. a user action) will be named in this way.
- Export Filename: Any file that is exported automatically via a workflow action (i.e. no user interaction) will be named in this way.
There are default filename settings already set up in this area. If you wish to change them, you can.
Adding variables and changing the default filenames
To change the default filenames, simply edit the text in the field.
Variables are added via the drop-down menus on the right, as shown. Variables are placed at the cursor position in the appropriate field.
- Extension: This is the file extension (e.g. indd, pdf, etc.). It does not contain a dot, so you must explicitly insert the dot beforehand in your text.
- Client: ID: This is the ID of the Client Workspace.
- Client: Name: This is the Name of the Client Workspace.
- Document: ID: This is the ID of the document within the Client Workspace.
- Document: Name: This is the text from the Name field of the document/project in one2edit™. This may be different from the filename.
- Document: Version: This is the text from the Version field of the document/project in one2edit™. This may be blank.
- Document: Pages: This is the page count of the document.
NOTE: Given that the Document Version text is not always populated, this can lead to files with a blank filename if no other text is included.
