It is sometimes necessary to change a username within a system. For example, if your company changes its name and email domain, or if you get married and change your surname.
If this occurs, you can update your name and/or email address within the one2edit™ system.
NOTE: This is for locally-managed one2edit™ users. If you wish to change the details of an externally-managed user, please do so through the appropriate user-management system.
Open User Preferences
Access your User Preferences via the option in the User Menu.
User Preferences Dialog
Here, you can set:
- Theme: Light or Dark UI theme
- Arrange Folders: Choose to arrange your folders by name, creation time, etc.
- Language: The UI Language (currently only English is offered, but more are planned)
- Name/Password: The section containing your Name, Username/Email, and Password
Expand the Name/Password Section
Click the triangle to expand the Name/Password section.
Here you can set:
- Name: Your full name
- E-Mail: Your username for logging in to the system
- Password/Repeat Password: Set your new password in the Password field, and confirm it in the Repeat Password field
Click Save or Apply to set your new password.
NOTE: There is no Name/Password section available in one2edit™ for users that are managed by a third-party system (e.g. SAML, LDAP, etc.). If you wish to change the details of an externally-managed user, please do so through the appropriate user-management system.
